General requirements
As of March 31, 2024, Bulgaria is part of the Schengen Area for air/sea travel and issues Schengen (Type C) visas. For stays up to 90 days, many nationalities are visa-exempt. For others, it requires an application form, a passport (valid 3+ months after stay), a photo, flight/hotel booking, medical insurance (min. €30,000), and proof of sufficient funds (€50/day).
